LANCASTER, Pa. – Architects, designers, facility managers, and building owners who desire the seamless appearance of drywall along with excellent acoustical performance in a space now need to look no further than the ACOUSTIBUILT Seamless Acoustical Ceiling and Wall System from Armstrong Ceiling & Wall Solutions. Finished ACOUSTIBUILT panels combine a smooth, non-directional, monolithic visual with excellent sound absorption and sound blocking.

Measuring 48" x 72" in size, the panels can be installed on both ceilings and walls. When installed on ceilings, the panels can be used in wall-to-wall, cloud, sloped, or soffit applications. When installed on walls, the panels are meant for use seven feet above the floor, making them ideal for quieting spaces with high ceilings.

Provide TOTAL ACOUSTICS Performance

The ACOUSTIBUILT Ceiling and Wall System is part of the Armstrong TOTAL ACOUSTICS portfolio, offering an ideal combination of sound absorption and sound blocking in one panel. The installed panel achieves a Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC) of up to 0.80, indicating it absorbs up to 80 percent of the sound that strikes it. It also has a high Ceiling Attenuation Class (CAC) up to 46, ensuring speech privacy by preventing sound from travelling into adjacent spaces. It can also improve the Sound Transmission Class (STC) of interior stud/drywall partition systems by up to six points.

ACOUSTIBUILT is much easier and less costly to install than acoustical plaster. Use of the Armstrong Drywall Grid System and new SIMPLESOFFIT drywall grid soffit framing system makes ceiling installation quick and easy. Finishing methods are similar to those of traditional drywall. White ACOUSTIBUILT panels are intended for spaces desiring a Level 4 equivalent drywall finish.

Meet Stringent Sustainability Standards

Finished white ACOUSTIBUILT panels are part of the Armstrong SUSTAIN portfolio and meet the industry’s most stringent sustainability compliance standards, including LEED® v4, Living Building Challenge℠, and the WELL Building Standard™. They are also part of the Armstrong CLEANASSURE family of disinfectable ceiling tiles, specialty ceilings, and suspension systems that help make spaces cleaner and healthier.
