Ceiling Cleaning Information

Keep your ceiling looking like the day you bought it with these ceiling cleaning tips.

Mineral Fiber Ceilings

You can easily remove dust and loose dirt by brushing it gently with a soft cloth or using a vacuum cleaner attachment designed for cleaning upholstery or walls. Make sure to clean in one direction only –this will prevent rubbing the dust into the surface of the ceiling.

For pencil marks, smudges, or clinging dirt, use an ordinary art gum eraser. Another option is to use a good grade wall cleaner.

Heavy-Duty Cleaning
For a more thorough ceiling cleaning, dampen a cloth or sponge in water containing mild soap. Wring out the cloth or sponge and gently wipe off the ceiling tiles or panels. After washing, remove the soapy film residue with a different cloth or sponge, slightly dampened in clean water.

*Note that mineral fiber ceiling products are maufactured for performance and are made of delicate material. Excessive handling will cause damage to the tiles.

WoodHaven Planks

WoodHaven ceiling planks are virtually maintenance-free. To clean the planks, simply wipe them off with a damp cloth.

Easy Elegance Coffered Ceiling Panels

Easy Elegance coffers require little maintenance. Simply use a damp cloth to wipe them off.

Metallaire Decorative Ceilings

Use a gentle touch when cleaning Metallaire tiles. When you need to clean them, use a soft cloth or sponge and mild soap and water. Never use anything abrasive.
