Wainscoting is simply paneling applied to the lower half of a wall. Charming or architectural, it can be found in a multitude of homes and as an element of many styles. We've seen it in crisp, white coastal dining rooms, as a hallway accent in a modern farmhouse, and even finished dark as the face of a home bar. The options are nearly limitless for how wainscoting can be used.
Traditionally, wainscoting is applied a little less than half way up the wall and finished with a decorative baseboard and chair rail. However, the effect is multiplied exponentially if you choose to take the look three quarters of the way up the wall or even the whole way. Vertical installations are the norm, but we like a horizontal application too.
WOODHAVEN Planks used as are easy to install on the wall and you can do it yourself in a weekend! The planks have a tongue-and-groove design, so they fit together easily and fasten to the wall surface vertically with construction adhesive or horizontally with the clips that come with every package.
