ESSER Funds

Utlilizing the Funds

Utilizing ESSER Funds

Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic more than $1.9 trillion in funding was made available through the American Rescue Plan (including the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief funds) for K-12 schools in the U.S. to enable safe operation in school facilities and keep schools open.

Part of the American Rescue Plan funding is three rounds of ESSER Funds which are specifically earmarked for, “School facility repairs and improvements to enable operation of schools to reduce risk of virus transmission and exposure to environmental health hazards, and to support student health needs.”* and “Inspection, testing, maintenance, repair, replacement, and upgrade projects to improve the indoor air quality in school facilities, including mechanical and nonmechanical heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, filtering, and purification…”.

Armstrong offers several qualifying solutions including air purification and acoustical ceiling products, enabling schools to leverage their ESSER funds to keep schools open and students in the classroom.
